Kristen Stokes Helms

Kristen Stokes Helms, cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026. Born on December 16, 1972, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Kristie lived a life full of love, kindness, and a genuine connection with those around her.

Kristie was a dedicated service writer at Asiaworks, a local business that her & her husband, Kevin, owned. Beyond her professional life, she was deeply passionate about traveling, crafting, attending concerts, watching movies, and enjoying musicals. She had an extraordinary ability to touch the hearts of everyone she met, embodying a spirit that never saw a stranger, only new friends to be made.

She was dearly loved by many and will be profoundly missed by her beloved family. Kristie is survived by her devoted husband, Kevin Helms; their children, Alston Broadway, Lauren Gibson, and Logan Helms; and her treasured grandchildren, Oliver Gibson, Nora Gibson, Wesson Helms, Audrey Helms, and Wyatt Helms. She is also lovingly remembered by her mother, Sandra Cagle; father, Dean Cagle; and sister, Amy Efird.

The community will have the opportunity to honor and remember Kristie at a visitation held on March 22, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC, located at 16901 Old Statesville Rd, 28078. A funeral service will follow at the same location from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Burial will take place at Mt Zion Community Cemetery in Cornelius, NC following the service.

Kristie’s compassion, joy for life, and loving nature left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her memory will live on through the lives of her family and friends, as a beacon of warmth and kindness. She will be remembered with the deepest respect and affection.
