Linda Ann Licata

Linda Ann Licata, beloved wife of John Licata, of Cornelius, NC passed away on February 4, 2021.

Linda was born in Lowell, MA on June 16, 1950 to the late Walter D. and Anne McAndrews. Along with her parents, Linda is proceeded in death by her mother and father- in-law, Joe and Mary Licata.

She is survived by her daughters, Elaine(Brian) Traub of Noblesville, Indiana, and Juliane (Martin) Conway of Mooresville, NC, along with her six grandchildren: Nathan and Caty Traub; Clare, Ryan, Norah and Ella Conway. She is also survived by her sisters, Gayle (Barney) Rua of Lowell, MA and Diane (Joe) Santoro of Chelmsford, MA, along with her brother Walter (Debbie) McAndrews of Lowell, MA and uncle George (Zenaida) McAndrews of Bayshore. NY. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law Joseph (Linda) Licata of West Long branch, NJ, and Anthony (Genemarie) Licata of McKinney, TX, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

One of Linda’s greatest loves in life was being a grandmother to her six grandchildren. Through her devotion to them, she created wonderful relationships and lasting memories. She enjoyed every soccer or volleyball game, cross country or track meet, and dance or music recital. She was a wonderful “Grammie”, and loved to spend time with them at events or just playing with them at home. Linda always had a song to sing, a story to tell, or a game to play.

In addition to being a loving wife to John, mother of her two daughters and devoted grandmother, Linda was actively involved throughout her life in ministries through the Catholic Church. She was involved in various marriage enrichment programs as well as over 35 years in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, both at the local parish level and as a team member of the national organization “The North American Forum on the Catechumenate”.

A private funeral service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral home in Huntersville, NC. Following the service Linda will be interred at Northlake Memorial Gardens in Huntersville, NC.

A Catholic memorial Mass will be celebrated in July 2021 at St Robert Bellarmine Parish in Andover, MA.
Memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities Diocese of Charlotte, NC or Loaves and Fishes Groceries for Neighbors in Need, Charlotte, NC.
