Lonnie Ray White

Lonnie Ray White, 62 of Stanley, North Carolina, passed away on March 09, 2021 after a short but hard-fought battle with COVID-19.

Lonnie was born in Gaston County, NC on September 15, 1958 to the late Earl White and Lorene White.

He is survived by fiancé, Jane Capps; brother, Pete White (Brenda); and nephew, Stephen White (Crystal).

Lonnie was retired from Mecklenburg County. “Cap’n Lonnie” was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was happiest when on his boat. He brought joy to his family and many friends. LR happily embraced the role of Paw Paw Lonnie to his acquired family. He was a proud donor of blood to the American Red Cross, recently receiving his 8-gallon pin.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will take place at Martha's Chapel Cemetery in Stanley, NC.

Memorial Donations may be made in honor of Lonnie to the American Red Cross.
