Mary Virginia Canipe, also lovingly known as Ginger, peacefully passed away on April 30, 2024, in Gaston County. She was born on July 18, 1948, in Mecklenburg County to her parents Robert Thomas Coble and Ethel Coble.

Ginger was a beacon of light within her community and a devoted member of Hunter Acres Baptist Church. Her unwavering faith guided her through life, and she touched the hearts of many with her kind and compassionate spirit.

Family was paramount to Ginger, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. Her grandchildren affectionately called her Granny, a title she wore with pride.

In loving memory, Ginger is reunited with her beloved husband, Richard Canipe. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth to be carried on by her family.

She is survived by her sons Scott Puckett & wife Robin, Robert Puckett & wife Wendy; stepchildren Ricky Canipe & wife Secret, Kim Parsons & husband Greg, Melinda Hill & husband Glen, Melissa Adkins & husband Scott; brothers Johnny Coble, Baxter Coble & wife Libby; thirteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ginger was preceded in death by her brothers, Red Coble & wife Illa May, Fred Coble, Tom Coble, and Charlie Coble.

As per Ginger's wishes, there are no services scheduled at this time. 

During this time of grief and loss, may we remember Ginger for the joy she brought into our lives and the love she shared with all who knew her.
