Mary D. Karol

Mary D. Karol, 84, of Cornelius, NC passed away on July 5, 2020. Mary was born in Queens, NY on July 12, 1935 to the late Bernard Donohue and Julia Lane.

Along with her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her son, Christopher T. Karol and Husband, Thomas J. Karol.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen, son-in-law, Neil Eibeler and their beautiful children; Neil T., Ryan J., and Kaitlin K. Eibeler; her son James, daughter-in-law, Anne and their son, Thomas Karol.

Mary worked for the FBI and then left to start a family and raise three children with her husband Tom. She was also involved with her parish church, St. Barnabas in Bellmore, NY. After raising her children, Mary returned to work. She worked in the local school system. She then went on to banking where she retired from chase Manhattan as an Executive Assistant. She loved her family, decorating, and planting.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 1:00pm at St. Marks Catholic Church in Huntersville, NC. Burial service will be on July 27, 2020 at Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury, NY at 10:00am. Due to COVID19, the service will be limited to family and close friends.
