Mary Anne Shelton

Mary Anne Shelton, aged 78, of Mooresville, North Carolina, passed away on February 2, 2023. She was born in Mooresville, North Carolina, on November 4, 1944 to the late Conrad Johnstone Shelton and Doris Lee Shelton (née Brown).  Along with her parents, Mary Anne is preceded in death by brother, Randall Stuart Brown.  She is survived by her brother, Timothy Shelton; and sister, Jane Rebecca Shelton. Also surviving are nephews, Randall Brown (Linda), Todd Brown (Audrey), Thomas Shelton, Conrad (John) Shelton; niece, Yelena Shelton; and great-nephews/nieces, Christa and Garrett, Shane, Breena, and Holly.

A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Raymer-Kemper Funeral Home in Huntersville, North Carolina.

Mary Anne graduated from Mooresville Senior High School and attended Kings Business College. She then spent most of her life assisting numerous families with childcare. Her loving, skillful ways and fine character produced remarkable results for both children and their grateful parents, echoing to impact a third generation--the children of “her” boys and girls.  Mary Anne was a cheerful and loyal friend with a strong Christian faith and keen sense of humor. Her love of the “cat tribe” was legendary. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
