Michael Wayne Lipford

Michael Wayne Lipford, 67, of Denver passed away from an extended illness at the Brian Center in Lincolnton, surrounded by his loving brothers and sisters. Born February 17, 1948 in Elizabethton, TN, Michael was the son of the late Charlotte Jo and Basil Lipford. Michael served, proudly, for three years in the United States Army and he was a Carpenter by trade where he specialized in custom homes in the Charlotte area, along with in the mountains where he grew up in Tennessee. He is survived by his daughter; Iesha Zilcosky (Craig), grandsons; Chase and Cody Zilcosky, brother; Steve Lipford, sisters; Mitsi Studebaker (Dwight), Sherry Pope (Mike) and Lorie Smith (Alan), nieces and nephews; Lily, Crystal, Tim, Amanda, Kelly, Daniel, Jamey, Jennifer, Angel and Jeff. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Lincoln County located 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home Saturday September 26, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5-6:00.
