Michael Price

Michael Price, 66, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.  Michael was born in Greensboro to the late John K. Price and L. Beatrice Price.  He graduated from Myers Park High School in Charlotte and earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from East Carolina University before moving to Denver, NC.  After meeting at work, Michael married the love of his life Deborah Guthrie Price in 1980.  They welcomed two wonderful sons M. Justin Price (wife Ashleigh) and Brandon Price.  Additional immediate family members include his sisters Katerenia Price Furr and Celia (Jane) Ensor and grandchildren Carter and Caleigh Price.  

After working in the private sector for many years, Michael became an entrepreneur, opening multiple Pack and Ship stores.  Michael took great pride in working alongside his son Brandon every day at his flagship Denver location.  Always a dedicated family man, Michael’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. He coached his sons’ sports teams when they were younger and cherished playing and spending time with his grandchildren.  A man of many interests, Michael liked reading books, listening to jazz music, and cheering for the Panthers and his alma matter ECU Pirates.     

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 41 years, his sons, his daughter in law, his grandchildren, siblings, and friends. 

A service in celebration of his life will be held at the Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville, NC 28078, on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at 2pm. The service will be viewable in this obituary starting at 1:50PM on Sunday, January 23, 2022.
