Minako R. Moore, 96, of Huntersville, NC passed away on April 30, 2023. She was born in Japan on May 25, 1926 to the late Hahutaro and Watanuba Kokuhbun.
Along with her parents, Minako is preceded in death by her first husband John Emerson Rose; second husband, Charles Moore; and daughter, Lark Rose.
She is survived by her daughter Wanda (Richard) Sparaco; granddaughter, Tiffany (Brian) Walsh; grandson, Canaan (Stephanie) Clark; great grandchildren Cameron, Bryce, and Quinn; and special son, Kevin Follett.
Minako was a resilient and humble person. Leaving her country of Japan to be with her husband, she worked hard to thrive in her new home country and help provide for her family. As a young girl, she went to school for dance and enjoyed dancing the jitterbug with her husband. She was a kind and gracious person. Minako had a servant heart and always gave of herself. Even toward the end of her life, she had a grateful spirit; often wanting to give to her caretakers and skilled nurses.
She enjoyed pizza, chicken wings, and time with her family. Minako loved her son-in-law Rich’s cooking and grilling.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Paralyzed Veterans of America (www.pva.org).
