May 15, 1932 — March 23, 2026

Huntersville

Mrs. Plummer, 93, of Charlotte died Monday, March 23, 2026 at Levine Hospice House in Huntersville, NC. A Charlotte native, Nancy was born on May 15, 1932 and was the eldest child of Nathan B. and Eula C. Krimminger.

After receiving her Masters Degree in Christian Education from Union Presbyterian Seminary, Richmond VA, she served as the beloved Director of Christian Education at Cooks Memorial Presbyterian Church. During that time, she also chaperoned a group of sixteen-year-olds from across Mecklenburg Presbytery to various missions across Mexico.

Later she joined First Presbyterian Church Charlotte where she served many roles in her 50 years there, including Moderator of Presbyterian Women in 2004. Nancy was such a dedicated church member that even when she was unable to attend on Sundays, she zoomed her Christian Formation class and watched the 11 am service via TV.

Nancy and her husband Ray were married for 40 years until he passed away in 2005. They were owners of Krimminger Candy Co., Inc. and later Plummer Graphics, a local printing company in Charlotte.

A proud resident of East Charlotte, Nancy was co-founder of Taste of the World, one of the original restaurant crawls in the Queen City, which celebrated the international flavor of her local community.

Nancy is survived by her son Eric N. Plummer and granddaughters Elizabeth A. Plummer and Sydney Ray Plummer.

A memorial service will be conducted at First Presbyterian Church Charlotte, at a later date.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the television ministry of First Presbyterian Church, 200 W Trade Street, Charlotte, NC 28202 or to Levine Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078.

Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC is serving the family.
