Nancy Virginia Trimble

Nancy Virginia Trimble, 78, of Cornelius, North Carolina passed away September 30, 2026, following a lengthy illness. 

She is survived by John, her husband of 55 years, their children Anthony Trimble, Heather Dhillon and her husband Syd, and grandchildren Sofia, Emmi, Logan and Kyle as well as her sister Diana Reynolds. 

Nancy was born in Glendale, CA on February 4, 1948. She was a graduate of Eagle Rock High School class of 1966 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from California State University, Los Angeles. Nancy enjoyed a long and varied career as a Registered Nurse before retiring in 2005 from her position as a Public Health Nurse for Los Angeles County. During her career, Nancy was honored as Los Angeles County Nurse of the Year. 

In 2022, Nancy and John relocated from Santa Clarita, CA to Cornelius to be near their children and grandchildren. Nancy was affectionately known as “Nurse Nancy” and later in life as “Grammy”, two titles that reflect her unwavering devotion to caring for family and any others who needed help. 

Graveside services will be held Friday, October 9, 2026, at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn East, Matthews, N.C. 

The family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in lieu of flowers.
