Norman Wilfred Morice

“ I love you more today than yesterday, less than tomorrow.”

Norman Wilfred Morice, 89, passed away October 9, 2020 in Huntersville, NC. He was born January 29, 1931 in Ste. Genevieve, MO and was raised by his loving parents Emma Frances Morice and Wilfred Joseph Morice.

Along with his parents, Norman is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Mae Morice and his siblings, Lionel and wife Dorothy Morice, Larry Morice, Paul and wife Hazel Morice, Donald Morice, and Joyce and husband Robert Sikorski.

Norman is survived by his son, Kevin and wife Fran Morice of Hoschton, GA; daughter, Michelle and husband Stewart Heath of Huntersville, NC; four grandchildren, Brian and wife Kim Morice, Chad Morice, Kelsey Heath, and Kami Heath; and his two great-grandchildren, Thomas and Mary Morice. He is also survived by his brothers, Wilfred and wife Ellen Morice, Roland and wife Diana Morice, and sister-in-law Helen Morice as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.

Norman was the family “genealogist” and historian, and loved tracing the family roots back generations, as well as recording and celebrating all of the new additions to the Morice family tree.

Also, Norman loved reading, traveling, watching movies and being everyone’s builder, furniture upholsterer, woodworker, handyman, etc. But most of all, he loved his family and wife of 64 years, Shirley.  Norman was a proud veteran, having served honorably in the United States Air Force.

A private graveside service will be held Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Salibury National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Parkinson’s Foundation. Additionally, cards and remembrances to the family would be greatly appreciated.
