Patricia Lynne Lloyd

Patricia "Lynne" Lloyd, 87, of Mooresville, NC, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025.

Lynne was born on August 11, 1938, in Detroit, MI, to the late Robert Edward Atkinson and Mary Agusta Tambling. She is preceded in death by her beloved son, John Robert Lloyd.

Lynne is survived by her loving daughter, Wendy Sue Jorgensen; her son, Mark Christopher Lloyd; and her cherished grandchildren, Samantha Lynne Bilharz, Justin Robert Lloyd, and Andrew Thomas Lloyd.

Lynne had a deep devotion to family and raised her three children on her own while living in Grand Rapids, MI—a testament to her strength, resilience, and unconditional love.

After retirement, Lynne spent over two decades in Naples, FL, where she found great joy in long walks along the beach, collecting seashells at sunset, and soaking in the beauty of nature. An avid reader and talented artist, Lynne also enjoyed gardening and playing golf in her leisure time.

She will be remembered for her warmth, quiet strength, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A private family service will be held in her honor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the North Carolina Special Olympics, an organization close to the family's heart.
