Patricia Mackey Nestor, 76, passed away on April 2nd while doing what she loved, cruising the high seas with her loving and doting husband.

She is survived by her husband Edward Thomas “Tom” Loughlin of Cornelius, her son Joseph L Nestor, III (Jenn) of Denver, daughter Amy Rebecca Nestor of Cornelius, and son Matthew George Nestor (Tobi) of Wilson. Grandchildren Sydney Jo Nestor, Dylan James Nestor, Adyson Joy Nestor, Colton Daniel Nestor, Riley Nicole Nestor, George Andrew Nestor, and James Matthew Nestor; brothers Richard Mackey (Beth) and Michael Mackey (Heather), sister Pam Watkins, and brother-in-law Joe Bradshaw. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Paula Bradshaw. Patricia worked in the telecom business for over 25 years in a variety of positions starting with Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone and retiring from Verizon. After retiring in 2017 she spent time in Oak Island, NC before moving to Huntersville where she made many new friends. She loved to talk about the amazing people she met on the front lines working at Target and hated wearing red with her complexion. She was a pink girl!
Patricia was a faithful and lifelong Catholic and was a member of Saint Mark Catholic Church in Huntersville. She also enjoyed attending Huntersville United Methodist Church with her husband Tom, daughter Amy and other family members.
Patricia loved life, enjoying time with her family whom she loved dearly. She was a loving mother and grandmother. There was never a day that passed where she was not heard telling stories of her grandchildren to anyone who would listen. Pat loved shopping, manicures and pedicures, cruising on Carnival Cruise Lines, watching Hallmark movies, and watching Jeopardy each night with Tom. Her health never kept her down. She played Bunco with a group of amazing women, created hand made greeting cards with another group, and participated in a bible study at St. Mark.
