Paul Nicholas Fisher, born on November 11, 1946, in Kingston, NY, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025. He leaves behind a rich legacy characterized by dedication, passion, and love for his family and community. He is preceded in death by his wife of 21 years Nancy Fisher, his parents Joan Marie and Robert Wojciehowski and his brother Daniel Wojciehowski.
A devoted firefighter, Paul served the Kingston, NY Fire Department with unwavering commitment for 25 years, from January 9, 1971, until his retirement on February 27, 1996. His bravery and selflessness in the line of duty garnered him respect and admiration from both his colleagues and the community he served.
Outside of his remarkable career, Paul was a man of many passions. He held a deep affinity for NASCAR, often immersing himself in the thrill of racing. His love for motorsports extended beyond mere fandom; Paul also actively participated in racing stock cars, showcasing his adventurous spirit.
Paul is survived by his beloved family, including his daughter, Kim Marie Dinelle, and her husband, James; his son, Paul W. Fisher, and his partner, Elizabeth Reynolds; and his step-sons, James Troeger, who is married to Dawn, and Christopher Troeger. He took great joy in being a grandfather to Alexandra Fairley and her husband, Alexander, Meghan Wells, Chad Wells and Heather Roell, as well as his step-grandchildren Camden Troeger and Mackenzie Troeger.
Paul is also remembered by his siblings, Geraldine Bulson and Robert Wojciehowski, who will carry forth his memory with love.
A service for Paul will be held at a later date in the Spring of 2026.
As we reflect upon the life of Paul Nicholas Fisher, we celebrate a man who was not only a dedicated public servant but also a loving family member and a passionate individual. His spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
