Peter Robert Southworth

Peter R. Southworth, 83, of Charlotte, NC passed away on October 10, 2023. Peter was born in Minnesota on August 27, 1940, to the late Laura and Wilbur Southworth. Along with his parents, Peter is preceded in death by his sister Mary Anne Schreiber and his beloved wife Betsy.

He is survived by his daughters Stephanie, Jenny, Katie and her husband Mel, and his six grandchildren: Courtney, Justin, Robert, Eric, Reece, and Betsy. He also leaves behind Emily, his “cat-panion”.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, 2:00 PM, at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery in Charlotte, NC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Cabarrus County Humane Society.
