Robert William Fisher, a beloved figure in his community, passed away on May 18, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on March 18, 1946, Bob led a life marked by service, dedication, and an indomitable spirit.

Bob's legacy is defined not only by his commitment to his family but also by his honorable service in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was proud to serve his country and was decorated with numerous medals for his bravery, including the Purple Heart. His military service shaped much of his character and instilled values that he carried into all aspects of his life.

Upon returning home from the war, Bob devoted himself to his family, starting a new chapter that would enrich his life. He found joy in his role as a father to his children, Ron Fisher, Karen Bowser, and Kimberly Garrett, and cherished the moments spent with them and their families. Bob is survived by his significant other, Renee Welch, who stood by his side through the years, as well as his son Ron and his wife Sara, daughter Karen and her husband Kevin, daughter Kimberly and her husband John, along with 10 beloved grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, all of whom adored him.

Bob is preceded in death by his ex-wife and the mother of his children, Toni Fisher.

Professionally, Bob enjoyed a long career with Bethlehem Steel, where he dedicated his skills and work ethic throughout his life. Retirement did not slow down Bob; rather, it allowed him more time to pursue his many interests. He was passionate about staying active and embraced a variety of hobbies, including racquetball, handball, skydiving, and working out. His vibrant personality and zest for life inspired those around him to live fully and embrace their passions.

 A Funeral Service will be held in his honor on May 21, 2025, at 3:00 PM, at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, North Carolina.

Bob William Fisher leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience that will be celebrated and remembered by all who knew him.  He has gone to be with his beloved dog Popeye.
