Robert Jay DiFrank, also known as Rob, passed away on November 8, 2023 after bravely battling cancer for ten years.

Born on April 17, 1982, in Erie, PA, Rob was a remarkable individual who left an indelible mark on the lives of those around him.

Rob's career began in the field of news production, where he dedicated a decade of his life. However, he found his true passion in sports marketing, which became his professional focus for the last ten years. His unique blend of dedication and creativity made him an invaluable asset to the industry.

But Rob was more than just a talented professional; he had an incredible personality that touched the hearts of everyone he met. Described as funny and witty, Rob had a remarkable ability to bring laughter and joy into any room. His infectious spirit illuminated the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.

Rob's love for Pittsburgh, PA, ran deep within him. Everything related to Pittsburgh held a special place in his heart. From the steel mills to the iconic sports teams, Rob took great pride in his connection to Pittsburgh and its vibrant culture.

While Rob excelled in his professional life and had a deep love for his city, it was his dedication to family that truly defined him. The cherished moments spent with loved ones were what mattered most to him. He treasured every opportunity to be with them and created lasting memories that will be forever cherished.

Among his proudest accomplishments was the joy brought into his life by the birth of his son James. Being a father filled Rob's heart with immeasurable love and pride, shaping him into an even greater man than before.

Rob is survived by his loving spouse Lauren and their son James. Lauren stood by his side throughout his battle with cancer. Their bond was unbreakable and served as an inspiration to all those around them. Alongside Lauren and James, Rob is also mourned by his parents, Jay and Les DiFrank.

Rob is preceded in death by his mother Leslie Rossin DiFrank and his brother Alex DiFrank.

In addition to his immediate family, Rob leaves behind a sister Stacy Harder and her husband Mike, sister Jamie DiFrank and her fiancé Zach, sister Annie DiFrank, as well as his beloved niece Elena Harder. Their memories of Rob will forever be a testament to his loving nature and the impact he had on their lives.

Rob’s passing leaves behind a void that can never be filled. However, his legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will continue to inspire and uplift those who were lucky enough to have known him. Rob's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all those touched by his remarkable presence.

Visitation will be held from 2:30 - 4:00pm Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
