Robert Lee Sutherland

Robert Sutherland, 79, passed away on October 15, 2022, in Huntersville, NC. He was born on January 27, 1943, in Hartford, CT, to Philip Sutherland and Marjorie Sutherland who proceeded him in death.

Robert is survived by his wife Sue Sutherland. The couple had four children, including Kelley Wade, Karyn Sutherland, April and Ryan Smith. One of his favorite things was to boast about his four grandchildren: Kammie Wade, Darryl Paulus, Lester, and James Smith. He was a great provider of stability and wisdom for all of us.

He spent much of his career at Ohio Art in Bryan, Ohio as Director of Division Products. As a salesman, he had a story for every person he met and town he visited. True to his style, he charmed the nurses up to the end. He enjoyed traveling and loved taking his family to Hilton Head every chance he got.

A celebration of life will be held at Big Al's in Huntersville at noon on October 22nd. We will honor him by watching Ohio State win on Saturday, October 22nd at Big Al's in Huntersville.
