Rodney Albert Clair, age 75, of Denver, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Preston House Memory Care in Charlotte, North Carolina.

He was born on May 4, 1950 in Wauseon, Ohio to Mary Anita and Albert Clair, who preceded him in death. Rod was also preceded in death by his father & mother-in-law John and Nancy Andryc and son-in-law Christopher Gamble.

He is survived by his loving wife Cynthia. They were married 53 years. He is also survived by his children John (Jen), Tara, and Brian (Courtney), and his sister Annette (Nick) Flores of Wauseon, Ohio, along with his 9 grandchildren, Charley, Isabel, Cooper, Jack, Henry, Lucas, Reid, Annabel, and Liv.

Rod was a graduate of Delta High School (1968) and Ohio University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering (1972).

The hardest worker around, he was a loyal colleague and employee at Owens Corning for 39 years with a successful career in sales. Rod gave his all in everything he did, and his number one priority was always his family. Rod lived his life with full integrity and character.

A devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, Rod found joy in boating, watching his children play sports, working in his yard, and most importantly spending time with family.

Rod was a lifelong Catholic and a current member of St. Mark Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be held in Huntersville, North Carolina on December 18 at 2pm, followed by a burial at Mount Zion Community Cemetery in Cornelius. The funeral will be livestreamed via the St. Mark website (stmarknc.org), under the Mass Times & Livestream section .
