Ruth Bartram Hahn

Ruth Ellen Hahn, most recently of Kannapolis NC, passed away on July 26, 2021.

Ruth was born in Cedar Point, Illinois on March 11, 1918 to the late Perry Bartram and Florence Reynolds Bartram.

Along with her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Hahn; sons, Kurt Hahn and Richard (Dick) Hahn; four sisters, Grace Kaiser, Madge Bartram, Lila Murdock and Laura Gurrad; and three brothers, Perry Bartram, Chuck Bartram, and Pat Bartram.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Hahn and Kirk Hahn; daughter, Jacque Penninger; eight grandchildren, Lori Hancock, Robert Hahn, Page Graham, Ashley Jones, Kirk Hahn Jr, Justin Hahn, Bryan Hahn, and Sandy Hahn; thirteen great-grandchildren; and 5 (soon to be 6) great great-grandchildren.

Our mother was the family “Rock Star”.  She was vital, active and always “dressed to the nines”.  Everyone who met her, loved her.  She never had a bad word to say about anyone.  With her passing, we have lost a true treasure. 

A private family memorial service will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 6:30 PM in the chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville.

Memorial Donations may be made in Ruth's memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
