Sandra McGuire Deese

Sandra McGuire Deese, 68, of Belmont, NC passed away on April 8, 2026.

Sandy was born in Bluefield, WV on February 12, 1958 to the late Raymond Kenneth McGuire and Lillian Irene Rose.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Donna Lerae McGuire.

Sandy is survived by her daughter, Brittany Lerae Harkey; son-in-law, Jackson Bryan Harkey; granddaughter, Lianna Hope Harkey; grandson, Bryson Reed Harkey; and her first cousin, James Moye.

A visitation will be held at Hillcrest Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 11:00 am, with the service to follow at 12:00 pm.  Interment will take place on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV.

Sandy was a devoted Daughter, Sister, Mother and Grami (grandmother).  She worked as a Medical Assistant and Surgery Scheduler and was a long-term employee of Dilworth Surgical/SSCLT.  She was a doting Grami who adored spending time with her grandchildren.  Sandy was an event planner and enjoyed planning different events for others.  She also enjoyed making handmade cards, as well as scrapbooking.  She was a warmhearted friend for many.
