Sheilah Boyd Castonguay

Sheilah Boyd Castonguay, 71, passed away on October 7, 2021. She was born to the late Melvin and Lois Townsend on November 15, 1949.

Sheilah is survived by her husband, Leo Castonguay of Mt. Holly; son, Chris (Dawn) Boyd of Mt. Holly; son, Tim Lewis of Hickory, NC; son, Ron Boyd of Mt. Holly, NC; daughter, Rachael (Rich) Fields of Pepperell, MA; son, Donald (Mary) Castonguay; sister, Janet (Dick) Michaels of Gastonia, NC; grandchildren, Christopher (Ava), Justin, and Rachael (Josh); great-grandchildren, Parker, Ryan, and Emory; niece, Shannon Michaels; nephew, Kelly Michaels; and a host of family and friends.

As a hairdresser, Sheilah owned her own salon for 35 years. She enjoyed teaching ceramics in her shop and later went on to teach at cosmetology school. Sheilah enjoyed helping others celebrate special events in their lives by making wedding cakes, birthday cakes, and candy during the holidays.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is loved dearly and will be missed.

A visitation will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Emmanuel Church located at 208 N Spargo St, Dallas, NC 28034. The funeral service will begin at 2:00PM. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery located at 1462 Armstrong Ford Rd, Belmont, NC 28012.
