Shirley Faulkner Nixon

Shirley Faulkner Nixon, 84, of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina passed away February 11, 2021.

She was born November 15, 1936 in Marshville, NC to the late Eugene Armstrong Faulkner, Jr. and Fannie Geneva Gulledge.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Nixon; two brothers; and one sister.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Melanie Nixon Holloway (Tim) and Missy Nixon Michael (Steve); one grandaughter, Brooke Mangum (Brad); two great-grandchildren, Adi Mangum and Annie Mangum; two sisters, Pat Mills and Joyce Bowers; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was an avid Donald Trump supporter and also enjoyed yardwork.  Above all, she loved her family and cherished time spent with them.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 14, 2021 at New Covenant United Methodist Church, 14514 Lucia Riverbend Hwy, Mt Holly, NC.  Funeral services will follow immediately at 2:00 PM, also at New Covenant United Methodist Church.  Interment will take place at Salem United Methodist Church, Denver, North Carolina.
