Stephen Ross Jellenik

Stephen Ross Jellenik, 89, of Terrell NC, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025.

Stephen was born in New York, N.Y., on May 25, 1936. He was the son of the late Howard Herman and Ruth Ann Frankenbush Jellenik, and brother of the late Roger Bruce Jellenik.

Stephen grew up in Malverne, Long Island. He received a bachelor’s degree from St. Lawrence University and graduated from New York University School of Law. He was a gifted Attorney who practiced law in Smithtown, NY for over 60 years at Scheyer & Jellenik, Attorneys at Law. He was a member of the N.Y. State Bar Association, the Suffolk County Bar Association, and was repeatedly awarded top scores in the New York Law Journal.

Stephen is survived by Margaret Jellenik, his wife of 47 years; his children Debra Jellenik (Mark Halloran), Glenn Jellenik (Cathy), Patty Malyszko (Mike), Mary Forgione (David), Billy Longboat, and David Longboat (Lisa). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sara Halloran, Isabel Halloran, Nathaniel Jellenik, Isaiah Jellenik, Alex Malyszko, Hannah Longboat, Emma Longboat, Joshua Forgione and Eliana Forgione.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 8th, 2:30pm, at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC. Following the service, Stephen will be laid to rest in Northlake Memorial Gardens in Huntersville, NC.
