Theresa Thelma Montgomery

Theresa Thelma Montgomery, known affectionately as Terri to her friends and family, passed away on May 28, 2024 in Hendersonville, NC. She was born on September 23, 1942, in Pittsburg, PA to her loving parents, William Caldwell and Thelma Gable Caldwell.

Terri will be remembered for her strong-willed and take-charge personality, along with her vibrant social nature. She had a knack for throwing great parties and picnics that brought joy to all who attended. In her leisure time, Terri enjoyed playing cards, spending quality time with her family, and engaging in friendly games of mahjong.

One of Terri's proudest accomplishments was being a devoted mother and having a wonderful husband by her side. She is survived by her son Scott Elliot Montgomery, daughter Deborah Dewitt and husband Stephen DeWitt, grandchildren James Thomas Montgomery III, Jackson Caldwell Montgomery, Margaret Elise Montgomery, and Henry Montgomery Dewitt.

Terri is predeceased by her loving husband James Thomas Montgomery Sr., son James Thomas Montgomery Jr., parents William and Thelma Caldwell, brother Richard Caldwell and sister Virginia Lee Caldwell Rosario.

Services to celebrate the life of Theresa Thelma Montgomery will be held on June 9th, 2024 at Raymer - Kepner in Huntersville, NC. The memorial service will be a memorial picnic and will commence at 1:00 PM.  At this time, friends and family can share memories and honor the life of this remarkable woman.

Terri's legacy of love, joy, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
