Tiffany Witherspoon King

Tiffany King, 54, of Huntersville, NC passed away on August 14, 2026.

Tiffany was born in Belleville, NJ on August 29, 1971 to the late John A. Worth and Sandra A. Witherspoon. She was legally adopted by Milton Witherspoon in 1984.

Tiffany graduated from North Carolina State University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Language Literature. She went on to work in Human Resources for companies such as Starbucks, Apple, Banfield, and finally United Healthcare, where she was the Vice President of People Teams. Tiffany was a well respected and highly regarded leader who influenced many to pursue their own path to success. While at Apple she was intricately involved in the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, creating a path for minority students to access job opportunities that might have been otherwise unavailable. Her love for people guided the success she had in her career.

Tiffany was a strong woman of faith who loved God.  Outside of her career, Tiffany also loved music, dancing, and entertaining her family and friends. She was infamous for her annual end-of-year house parties, but her home was always open to those she knew and loved anytime. Tiffany never met a stranger, anyone who met her always felt her warmth and kindness. She was a generous soul, and always willing to lend a helping hand.

She is preceded in death by her husband and soulmate Shawn King Sr; her father, Milton Witherspoon; Parents-in-law, Effie and Adolphus King; Brother-in-law, Aloysius King; niece, Terentia Moore-William; and her beloved granddog Muffin.

She is survived by her sons Shawn King Jr, and Alexander King; her mother Sandra Witherspoon; her sister Mia Cameron; Brother-in-laws Terence (April) Moore, and Effran (Cassandra) King; nephews Micah Cameron, Titus Cameron, Aaron Moore, and David King; nieces Shawndra King, Ashley King, and Simone King; as well as a host of God-given sisters, brothers, friends and family.

Funeral services will be held on what would have been her 55th birthday, Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville. NC. Visitation will be held from 10 am - 12pm with service to follow.  A celebration of life will be held after the service at 2:00 PM at Magnolia Woods in Huntersville, NC.

The King family requests that memorial donations be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance.
