Timothy Edgar Roberts of Huntersville, NC, passed away on March 17, 2026 after valiantly battling Parkinson's Disease for 22 years.
He was born at home in Lenoir, NC on February 5, 1942 to the late James Edgar Roberts and Eva Juanita Roberts.
Along with his parents, Tim is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Karen Puff Roberts.
Tim is survived by his daughter, April (Dan) Demers; granddaughter & great-granddaughter Aaren & Evalyn; son-in-law William (Mary) Boggs, and his five siblings, Joann Simmons, Carolyn Smith, Larry Roberts, Elayne (Bobby) Eldreth, and Rick (Linda) Roberts.
Tim was a master electrician & owned Dixie Wiring, Inc. for over 30 years.
A Celebration of Life, lead by April, Aaren, & Evalyn, will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Union Baptist Church, 4595 Union Baptist Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645. Please come prepared to share a sentimental or funny story about Tim. Immediately following the Celebration of Life ceremony, a graveside service will take place at Bethel Advent Church, 1595 Draco Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645.
Tim will take one last ride in his beloved 1965 Impala up Draco Road to his final resting place. He bought it brand new after serving in the Army. Tim considered it a great honor to serve in the 82nd Airborne Division.
Following the graveside service at approximately 5:00 pm, all are welcome to meet at Sim's Country BBQ to enjoy Tim's favorite BBQ meal. Sim's is located at 6160 Petra Mill Rd., Granite Falls, NC. Meals are $16 for adults and $8 for kids ages 4-11 and payment is cash only at the door. Feel free to dress casual, jeans and boots if you would like, as it was Tim's everyday attire until Parkinson's took its toll.
For those who wish to send flowers, they will only be accepted on April 25, 2026 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Union Baptist Church.
