Traci Lynn Lamarre

Traci L. Lamarre, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, nurse, and friend, passed away on October 22, 2026 at the age of 75, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to her family.

To know Traci was to love her.  She had a remarkable way of making family out of those who entered her life.  Whether she was known as Traci, Mom, Bama, or a dear friend, she had a way of endearing herself to those fortunate enough to cross her path.  Her warmth, generosity, determination, and unmistakable personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

A dedicated nurse and medical office manager, this incredibly hardworking woman spent much of her life caring for others, both personally and professionally.  Her strength, independence and drive were especially evident in her role as a single mother, raising her son with unwavering love, sacrifice, and determination.  She took tremendous pride in the man, husband, and father he became.

In 1999, she and Alvin fell in love and married in 2002.  They resided in Agoura Hills, where they lived for 15 years, before eventually moving to North Carolina to be closer to their family.  Together, they enjoyed travel, dining out, spending time with family and friends, and having their grandson over for sleepovers.

Outside of her work, Traci enjoyed life's simple pleasures.  She was happiest soaking up the sunshine, getting lost in a good book, enjoying a shopping trip with her favorite daughter-in-law or watching her favorite HGTV shows.  She also appreciated a good glass of Chardonnay (or three) along with a hearty steak.

Of all the roles she held throughout her life, perhaps none brought her greater joy than being a grandma (Bama).  Her only grandchild was the light of her life, and she embraced every opportunity to spoil him, create special memories, and shower him with unconditional love.  She loved him to the moon and back, a sentiment she made certain he always knew.

Above all, Traci will be remembered for her strength, her generous heart, her devotion to those she loved, and the countless ways she made life brighter for those around her.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin P. Lamarre; her brother, Anthony Trimble; her son, Blake A. Tibbetts; her daughter-in-law, Christy Martin Tibbetts; and her grandson, Jackson W. Tibbetts.  She was preceded in death by her father, Bryon A. Trimble and her mother, Meryl M. Trimble.

A memorial will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 30 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home at 16901 Old Statesville Road in Huntersville, NC, followed by a reception.

While her presence will be missed each and every day, Traci's legacy lives on in the family she raised, the lives she touched, and the memories that will be treasured for generations.  May she rest peacefully, forever surrounded by the sunshine she loved and the love she so freely gave.
