Tyrone Peyton

Tyrone A. Peyton, 69, of Stanley, NC passed away on June 5, 2020.

Tyrone was born in Hopewell, VA on November 24, 1950 to Catherine Lundy and the late Chester A. Peyton.

Tyrone was a US Army Veteran having served in Vietnam War. He enjoyed smooth jazz, cooking and absolutely adored sports as his hobbies. 

Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his son, Tyrone Snelling.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Althea Burkhalter-Peyton, his mother, Catherine Lundy; three daughters, Tahirah Thomas  ( Alex Cohen), Ebonie Peyton (Richard Milligan), Mia Dodson (Michael Dodson); daughter in law, Melaine Snelling; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, two sisters, four brother in laws, five sister in laws, two aunts and a host of a nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 12, 2020 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC. Following the service a reception will be held for family and friends.
