Vernie Curley Brotherton

Vernie Curley Brotherton, 88 of Davidson, NC died Friday May 6, 2011 at the Brian Center Mooresville. Born November 25, 1922 in Mecklenburg County she was a daughter of the late William Gaither Curley and Ola Woods Curley. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Thursday May 12 in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mimosa Cemetery in Davidson, NC. The family will receive friends 1:00 to 3:00 prior to the service at the funeral home. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Kenneth William Brotherton; daughters, Lynne Hybarger, Kathy Arnold, and Lisa Brotherton and husband Dennis Hopkins; sister, Nadine Freeze; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Kenneth Brotherton in 2005.
