Wallace "Wally" Yarbrough

Mr. Wallace Wally Allen Yarbrough of Denver, NC passed away peacefully on December 11, 2010. He was born December 1, 1924 in York County SC to the late John Franklin and Maude Johnston Yarbrough. Wally was an outstanding salesman during his early years and later became a very successful realtor in Charlotte for over 30 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman but most of all he spread happiness with his infectious smile and laughter. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday December 15, 2010 at Salem United Methodist Church in Denver, NC. The family will receive friends following the service. Mr. Yarbrough is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara S. Yarbrough, one son, Jeffrey Allen Yarbrough and wife Susan; daughter, Karen Leslie Yarbrough; his two special grandchildren; Lynsey and Landon; two brothers, John W. Yarbrough and Erwin K. Yarbrough and wife Helen and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
