Wanda Clara Gosnell Lambert, 67, of Statesville, NC passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
Wanda was born in Gastonia, NC on June 6, 1958 to the late Leonard Lee Gosnell, Sr and Margaret Woteena Fisher Gosnell. Along with her parents, Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, John W Lambert and brother, Leonard Lee Gosnell Jr.
She is survived by her sister, Iris Gosnell Ham; sister in law, Margaret Helms Gosnell; much loved nieces and nephews. Andrew and Amanda Ham, Concord NC, Brian and Diane Ham, Pomono Park, FL, Anthony Gosnell and Courtney Sherman, Harvest AL, and Tonda and Spencer Brown, Greensboro, NC; grand nieces and nephew, Hailey, Hannah, Hayden, Cecelia and Leo, who will all miss their loving Aunt Wanda.
Wanda’s loving and gentle nature was felt by all who knew her. She treasured time spent with family and friends and had a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, Zoe. She found great joy in camping and loved sharing her adventures and stories, creating memories filled with laughter, warmth, and togetherness.
Due to the weather forecast, please note that visitation and service times have been adjusted, but still held on Saturday, January 24, 2026. If floral arrangements have been ordered, please contact your florist and ask that arrangements be delivered during regular business hours on Friday, January 23, 2026.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 am to 11:00 am, Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville, NC 28078. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Wanda’s memory to a charity close to her heart, such as an animal rescue organization, the American Cancer Association or the Mount Zion United Methodist Church Prayer Shawl Ministry, 19600 Zion Ave, Cornelius, NC 28031.
Wanda will be remembered for her kind spirit, gentle heart, and unwavering love for those around her. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones, and resting in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior.
