Wayne Benard Brown also known as Droop and WB was born on Thursday February 20th, 1958 in Iredell County to Catherine Alexander Brown and Roy Barnette. On Thursday, November 9, 2023, he passed away and will be forever missed.
Wayne was a Huntersville native his entire life. He attended J.M.Alexander Jr. High and North Mecklenburg High School. Wayne was employed as a Forklift driver and Machinist with Carolina Tractor-Charlotte NC, Reeves Brothers Inc Cornelius NC, and retired from The Building Center-Charlotte NC. Wayne was also a caretaker to his dear mother before her untimely death. Wayne had a wonderful an outgoing personality. He was very entertaining and outspoken. He was the life of the party. Wayne loved the ladies.
Fond memories of Wayne: Cherished by Family and Friends Wayne will always be remembered by his loved ones. He is survived by his two daughters, Latoya Pharr and Lativia Brown of Charlotte, NC, along with six grandchildren” Zymere, Kymoni, Markeis, Londyn, Kartice, and Kurie, all of Charlotte, NC. Additionally, he is survived by his two sisters, Deborah Brown Quick (Nathaniel) and Myra Brown Sims, along with his devoted niece Tanya Y. Brown, two nieces Amyra and Nevach, his special Aunt Barbara Springs, as well as two Aunts and two Uncles. His best friend Cecil Hicks, a host of cousins, and other relatives will also miss him dearly, especially the “Car Porch Crew.”
A visitation will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 9:00am to 10:30am at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home located at 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC 28078. The funeral will follow at 10:45am at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home.
