William Martin Allison

William Martin Allison, 61, of Huntersville, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022. He was born in Charlotte on November 28, 1960, the son of the late William Richard Allison and Joyce Lankford Allison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Bonnie Rhodes Allison; and father-in-law, Boyce William Rhodes.

William was a very strong, proud, but silent, gentleman. He was very kind, generous, hardworking, and giving. He was loyal and dedicated to his family and friends. William loved fishing, boating, NASCAR, football, being out in nature and time spent at the lake. He had a great sense of humor and was very mechanically inclined. William was a great father and grandfather and cherished his wife of 41 years.

William is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, William R. and Jennifer Allison; grandson, William R. Allison, Jr. "Liam"; mother-in-law, Mary Lou Rhodes; and sister-in-law, Teresa Rakes.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, 11:00 AM, at Hopewell Presbyterian Church, Huntersville, with Rev. Lynn Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 AM prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
