William Jeffery "Jeff" Huffstickler

William Jeffery “Jeff” Huffstickler, 70, of Charlotte, NC passed away on Wednesday August 19th, 2026 surrounded by his family. Jeff was born in Charlotte on July 9, 1956 to the late Frank D. and Helen (Keever) Huffstickler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Huffstickler; sister, Jackie White; niece, Rachael; special nephew, Thomas “Tom” Craig Stover, Jr.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 48 years, Teresa Stover Huffstickler; daughters, Robin Huffstickler (Jason Rick) and Kelly Huffstickler; grandson, Kasen; his four-legged son Finn; grand-dogs, Layla and Tug; brothers, Doug (Pat) Huffstickler and Jason (Ginger) Huffstickler; brother-in-law, Thomas “Tommy” Craig Stover (Debbie); nieces and nephews, Josh, Scott, Erin, Ben, Missy, Dillion, Justin, Johnathan, Jessica, Matthew, John and Julie; aunts, Sue Keever Cooley and Shirley Jones; as well as a long list of extended family and dear friends.

Jeff was employed by Charlotte Water for 30 years. His crew was part of his extended family. After his retirement, he loved helping and working alongside his daughters catering for Sports Page. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting grass, bonfire nights with neighbors and was known for making the best BBQ around. His biggest enjoyment was “arguing” and playing with his two year old grandson, Kasen, who was the light of his life. Jeff never met a stranger; he loved to start conversations and let people know where the “best spots” were to eat. He loved being at Holden Beach, where the neighbors, the staff at Tee Time, Mama Brava’s and Burg-Dogs became part of the extended family also. Jeff had a way about him and always had something funny to say and could make you laugh when you needed it and was always giving someone a “hard time”. He was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed.

The family asks for everyone attending the visitation and graveside service to dress casually as Jeff would. Also, if anyone would like to say a few words or share a story, you may do so at the graveside service or at the late luncheon.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville. A graveside service, officiated by Billy Willoughby, will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, August 24, 2026 at Forest Lawn West, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte. A late lunch will follow the interment at the Metrolina Shrine Club, 5930 Brookshire Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28216.
