Willie Hamer Beasley

Willie Hamer Beasley, 88, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on March 11, 2020.

He was born April 21, 1931 in McColl, South Carolina.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Beasley, and his son, Craig Beasley.

Willie is survived by his children, Vickie Jones, Joan Vaughn (Frankie), Ted Beasley (Denise), and Rebecca Phillips (David); six grandchildren, Kim, Brent, Brandon, Tori, Alan, and Faith; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joyce Adams.

Willie was known for his kind and gentle ways, as well as his wonderful sense of humor.  He was blessed to have a wonderful marriage of 63 years with his beloved wife, Ruth and had a deep love for God and his family.  He enjoyed teaching Sunday School, reading, painting and art, and collecting coins.  He had a special appreciation for the Christmas season, loved his dog, Sammy, and cat, Johnny Cat, and treasured time well spent with beloved friends.  Following his retirement, he enjoyed working at WIT Transmissions.

Visitation will be held 7:00-9:00 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2020 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville, North Carolina.  A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Northlake Memorial Gardens, 11001 Alexandriana Rd., Huntersville, North Carolina.
