The family of Zachary Thomas Radhuber is saddened to announce his passing on August 29th, 2026.
Born on May 29th, 2000, Zach’s love of theatre began at a young age. He performed with the Children’s Theatre of Charlotte and is remembered for the characters he skillfully portrayed in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Oklahoma. As a teenager, he continued with Theatre Charlotte and performed in The Grapes of Wrath, Aida, and several productions of A Christmas Carol. He graduated from UNC Greensboro in 2022 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts where he performed in Momo and As You Like It. He learned everything he could about theatre on stage and off stage and enjoyed directing. He married his husband, Teddy, in 2023 and they moved to Washington, DC where Zach went on to share his talent, knowledge, and love of theatre as House Manager for Arena Stage. Zach enjoyed collecting playbills by going to shows everywhere. He once attended 10 shows in 5 days in NYC, where Zach aspired to write and produce his own Broadway show.
Zach lived a vibrant life surrounded by those who loved him dearly. He touched the lives of everyone he met through his love of music, theatre, food, and jokes. Zach will be remembered as a loving husband, son, brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin. His humor and light will live on forever.
Zach is survived by his spouse Teddy; his father Bill and stepmother Stephanie, his mother Heather and stepfather Clinton, his brothers Brayden, Cameron, and Holden, and his grandparents Muriel “Nana”, Jojo, Russ, Curtis, and Joyce. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ed, Gary, and Debbie.
The family would like to thank Zach’s team at Duke Hospital, the Children’s National Adult Congenital Heart Program team, and Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home for all the care and compassion given to him. Zach was an organ donor and his love and spirit will continue to touch the lives of many.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC, with the service to follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Inurnment will take place at Northlake Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
