Zahreah Charnee Harris, 28, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on April 21, 2026.

Born in Augusta, Georgia on February 13, 1998, Zahreah lived with a strength that inspired everyone who had the privilege of knowing her—and a joy that made life feel lighter the moment she walked into a room.

Zahreah was the strongest person her family knew. She endured more than most could imagine, yet carried herself with grace and courage, rarely letting the weight of life steal her shine. She was loved by everybody—known for her infectious laughter, her goofy sense of humor, and the way she proudly beat to the sound of her own drum. Zahreah didn’t just show up—she showed up fully, bringing warmth, personality, and a spirit that made people feel at home.

She was a hugger through and through. Zahreah loved the holidays and made sure everyone participated—full decorations, full energy, no exceptions. Those traditions weren’t just about celebration; they were her way of gathering the people she loved close and creating memories that would last. To her family, she was their Princess, their Baby Girl, Grandad’s “Sugas,” and Auntie’s “China Doll”—titles that speak to how deeply she was treasured.

Zahreah was also deeply proud of her accomplishments. In September 2024, she graduated from Webster University with a Bachelor of Arts in Management—proof of her determination and the future she was building with purpose.

She is lovingly remembered by her father, Charles E. Harris Jr.; her mothers, Lorraine L. Harris Rosenblum and Shelonda M. Harris; and Taylor Petty of Charlotte, who was her world. She is also survived by her brothers Tree’shawn Harris of Sunrise, FL; DeSean Pinkney of Houston, TX; Amareo Hammond of Columbia, SC; and Terrance Pinkney of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and her sister Kayla Greene of Rock Hill, SC. She leaves behind her grandparents Charles Sr. and Margaret Harris of Augusta, GA; Lambert and Pauline Johnson of Charlotte, NC; and Tim and Patricia Abrams of Jackson, SC, along with nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville. Funeral services will take place at 12:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with interment following at Beatties Ford Memorial Gardens in Huntersville. The family will host a repast at the funeral home once the interment is complete.

Zahreah will be missed beyond measure—but her laughter, her love, and her unforgettable spirit will remain a light in every heart she touched.
